Internships & Project Work

A “rich” district

CampusDellaModa, established as a non-profit company at the start of 2009, continues to form rewarding collaborative relationships with numerous companies, particularly in the district of Carpi and across Emilia Romagna in general.
This district is one of the most important within the national textile and clothing industry. Specializing traditionally in the production of knitwear and tailoring, the main strengths of this district are found in the commercial capacity of the many lively small to medium fashion enterprises, several of which are highly successful international fashion brands.
In fact, there are approximately 1,600 companies based in this rich area, with a total of over 9,000 people employed in the fashion sector. The advice and observations of many successful entrepreneurs have helped in the structuring of courses and masters which respond to the current demands of a continuously evolving fashion market.

Turn knowledge into skills

CampusDellaModa is founded on the basis that theory is only truly valuable when it is put into practice. It is for this reason that the campus places theory and workshop training side by side. In this context, in order to comprehensively conclude the training course, it is essential to ensure the possibility to apply the skills learnt in the classroom to the practical, everyday, business world, placing those skills in relation to the dynamics of working life. There is strong correlation between the work of the Masters courses and the tasks given to students by their host companies during their internships: the two processes closely correlate with clear and sensitive consistency. Internships and project work in the fashion industry are an integral part of the Masters course and are necessary in order to receive the diploma.
This is why CampusDellaModa places great importance on work-experience with businesses. This experience, known as a “stage” to Italian students and those coming from EU Member States, is referred to as “project work” for students from other countries.

Internships

The internships last from three to six months, extendable or convertible into actual job opportunities according to the needs of host companies as well as the capabilities demonstrated by the student intern.
CampusDellaModa’s Placement Service personally assists each student, continually creating new initiatives for his/her growth and training.
Under the law currently in force, only citizens belonging to the European Union are able to take advantage of this training period in Italy. Citizens who do not belong to the European Community will complete their studies through project work agreed with the company.
