In addition to young people interested in becoming “cool hunters”, anybody who wants to apply the contents of the seminars to their own, continually evaluated work can access the course.
Short Description
Curiosity, intuition, power of observation, interest in what surrounds us and a great passion for fashion are the essential prerequisites for turning trends research into a profession.
The job of Cool Hunting cannot be improvised and requires an extensive knowledge of the fashion world. The course aims to provide a basis for the study of tools, structure, methodology and the elements that are essential to planning the research for fashion trends.
This series of meetings aims to teach how to interpret what is happening around us, to develop a habit of observation, and the ability to analyse and combine that with the consumer’s choices, and to apply the trends to the fashion product.
Course Content
Macro-trends – events that count, Trend Setters – people that count, Sociology – tribes, Study of Contemporary Fashion – evolution and cycles, Language Of Fashion, The Fashion Market – Research & Analysis, Survey Tools, Communication Tools , Significance of Colour / Materials / Shapes, Made in Italy.
Workshop
Photography, Image and Material Research, Graphic Composition, Construction of Mood Boards and Trend Notebooks.
